ZooBiotic Ltd's clean room facility was built within a new building occupying 774 m square ( 8138 sq ft), 10 minutes from the commercial centre of Bridgend.
The layout design was carefully planned by very experienced ZooBiotic personnel to provide a clean room facility that is able to produce sterile products to the highest standards demanded by the British Medicines and Heath Care Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), the facility is also in accordance with current European "Good Manufacturing Practice" (GMP) requirements and ISO 14644 "Cleanroom and associated controlled environments (Part 1, 2 and 3). The 12 room cleanroom facility occupies 225 sq meters (2376 sq ft) and provides the correct product flow and space necessary to produce a quality product.
ZooBiotic Ltd has been extremely selective in the design and construction. The steel vinyl coated panels of the modular partitions provides a fully demountable and relocatable system with the ability to accommodate integrated services such as return air ducts, electric/data cabling, and piped services within the walls. The system provides excellent coving and flush-fitting details with no ledges to improve the quality of the facility to achieve all the necessary critical requirements within a clean room environment. The cleanroom facility contains 7 flush mounted incubators and 8 new Laminar Flow units within ISO Class 5 and ISO Class 7 (Grade B and C) clean rooms.
Differential pressure, temperature and humidity maintained within the facility conforming to ISO 14644 standards are monitored 24/7. This "state-of the-art" pharmaceutical production unit provides the best facility in the world today to produce sterile larvae.
